James G. Seymour is a co-founder of Euclid Exec. Jim has helped create a $15M book of business within the first 3 years of the company’s existence.
Prior to Euclid Exec, Jim was the U.S. Management Liability Leader for Beazley Insurance Company. Inc. He has over 20 years of underwriting and management experience in management liability coverages (Public, Private & Non-Profit Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices and Fiduciary Liability).
Jim joined Beazley Insurance Company on February 5th, 2005 when the U.S. insurance company was created. He established the Midwest and Texas distribution network and was integral in product development. In addition to these responsibilities, Jim managed the U.S. management team which had underwriting operations in New York and Chicago. The U.S. management liability practice will finished 2009 with over $45m in written premium.
Prior to joining Beazley, Jim was Vice President of Chubb & Son, Inc. where he managed a $100M portfolio of management liability business. He spent 12 years with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in various underwriting and management roles. His group received the Branch Department of the Year Award in 2004 based on growth and profitability.
Jim is a co-founder and passive investor in three real estate corporations, Greenleaf Park Apartments, LLC, a 55 unit complex located in Massachusetts, Wellington Townhomes, LL C, a 48 unit complex in New Hampshire, and LS Capital, LL C., a real estate development company that had returns on invested capital in excess of 90%.
At the age of 19, Jim was elected to a three year term on the Board of Selectman in his hometown of Merrimac., MA (population 5,100). As a public official, he participated in union negotiations, budget planning, and various day to day operations of the town.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance/ Communications from Babson College, Wellesley MA. He is an active member of the Lake Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
